SUP082 - Document Processing Workflow

Palladium now has the ability to allow you to set general workflow, or processing methods on a per Customer or Vendor level. This function allows you to differentiate the way in which documents are processed to alleviate duplication, and optimise the business process per Customer or Vendor. 
Within each of the Customer and Vendor Masterfile maintenance tabs there is an option to define the Invoicing Workflow.
ie the ways in which you can create a Vendor Invoice with the options for:
  • Creating a NEW Vendor invoice
  • Creating an invoice from a GRV
  • Converting from a Purchase Order
  • Or as a combination of the above
 
 
An example of where this could be applied is where we differentiate the processing on a Trade, or Inventory, invoice to say an invoice for water and lights where the Inventory would be processed through a GRV, and the water and lights processed directly as a Vendor Invoice.
Whereas on the Accounts Receivable tab we have the ability to create an Invoice as follows:
  • Creating a NEW Sales Invoice
  • Converting from one or more Delivery Advices
  • Creating from a Sales Order
  • Any combination of the above
A good example of the application of this is where we would like to differentiate COD counter sales from general Account sales where the latter would be processed from a sales order and prepared for either delivery or collection.
